  1. Buck Brannman Horse Clinic

    August 29, 9:00 AM - September 1 @ Eagle River Center at the Eagle County Fairgrounds, 794 Fairgrounds Road

    Horsemanship 2 introduces the rider to working the horse in the hackamore and beyond. Horsemanship 1 is a prerequisite for enrolling in Horsemanship 2 unless otherwise approved by Buck. The class involves working cattle and ranch roping so that all aspects in preparing the bridle horse-in-the-making are addressed.

  2. Eagle Pool Puppy Plunge

    September 2, 4:30 PM - 7:00 PM @ Eagle Pool, 1700 Bull Pasture Road

    Bring a close to the dog days of summer with a celebration of dogs and their swimming abilities at the Eagle Pool. Dogs must be well behaved and on leash until inside the pool area. The swim is for dogs only, no two-footed swimmers allowed. Owners must be present. Owners are responsible to scoop the poop.

  3. Vail Automotive Classic & Wheels and Wings Show

    September 5 - September 7 @ Vail Valley Jet Center, 871 Cooley Mesa Road in Gypsum

    The most comprehensive auto,aircraft and motorcycle show in Western Colorado. The WHEELS AND WINGS SHOW features an unparrelled display of machinery. With over 180 cars, 40 airplanes and other aircraft, and 20 motorcycles, the 2014 show will amaze and entertain.

  4. Haymaker Jam Mountain Bike Race & Music Festival

    September 12 - September 13 @ Eagle Pool & Ice Rink, 1700 Bull Pasture Road

    A fun day for the whole family including: High School JV and Varsity Races, Youth Beginner and Advanced Races, Adult Night Race, Food, Bands, Bonfire & S'mores, and more!

  5. Autumn Classic Golf Tournament

    September 12, 11:00 AM @ Eagle Ranch Golf Course, 50 Lime Park Drive

    Enjoy one of the last golf tournaments of the season and promote your business to other leaders in our community. This tournament raises money for the higher education scholarship fund for local high school students.

  6. SpeakUp ReachOut Community Walk for Suicide Prevention

    September 13, 8:30 AM - 11:00 AM @ Brush Creek Park, 909 Capitol Street

    100% of the SpeakUp ReachOut Community Walk funds will support SpeakUp ReachOut, the suicide coalition of Eagle County. SpeakUp ReachOut Mission: To prevent suicide in Eagle County by providing education, training, and hope.

  7. Eagle River Clean Up

    September 13, 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM @ Eagle River

    Each September, over 350 volunteers from Eagle County companies, local governments, clubs, associations, and groups of friends disperse along 60+ miles of river to pick up trash. Volunteers hit the water at 9am and will scour the banks of Gore Creek (from East Vail to Dowd Junction), the Eagle River (from Redcliff to Dotsero), and the Colorado River until noon. From noon on, clean up participants are invited to celebrate our hard work with a delicious lunch from the Arrowhead Alpine Club at Broken Arrow. We will enjoy live music, local brews, awards, and a raffle!

  8. Vail Rec District Cyclocross Race

    September 17, 4:15 PM - 7:00 PM @ Eagle County Fairgrounds

    Cyclocross races consist of many laps, approximately 1.5 to 2 miles each, on a course featuring pavement, wooded trails, grass, steep hills and obstacles requiring the rider to quickly dismount, carry the bike while navigating the obstructions and remount.

  9. Eagle Ranch Pumpkin Patch

    September 27, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM @ Brush Creek Pavilion & Park, 909 Capitol Street

    The Brush Creek Park will be transformed into a Pumpkin Patch of Plentifully Preposterous Proportions. Bring the whole family and find your perfect pumpkin. Plan to spend the whole morning visiting the Haunted Barn, carving pumpkins, playing festive fall games, pony rides, sipping cider, and enjoying the beautiful morning in the grounds of a former working ranch. Children will also have an option to bounce off some energy in four fantastic bouncy castles while grown-ups peruse a silent auction benefiting the Sunshine Mountain Preschool. Food, games and food for the whole family.
