Town of Eagle Community Energy Efficiency Program

In July 2021 the Eagle Town Council passed a resolution adopting a goal to achieve net-zero carbon emissions in the greater Eagle community by 2030. By partnering with Walking Mountains and the Energy Smart Colorado program, homes and businesses in Eagle can invest in rebated projects focused on improving our community and energy use in buildings. The Building Department works to ensure safe, efficient and orderly development within the Town of Eagle. We are a public organization that puts customer service first by utilizing motivated professionals who contribute toward shaping the Town of Eagle as a community of choice.

We are here to serve the community and assist with code related questions, conduct site inspections, and ensure compliance with the International Building Code, Town ordinances, and regulations. The Building Division is responsible for reviewing building plans and permit applications. We also maintain records of completed building permits and inspections.

The Building Inspection Hotline is 970-328-9626. Please contact us no later than 4PM MST and your inspection will be scheduled for the next available inspection date.

Building Code

The Town of Eagle uses the 2015 International Building Code (IBC), 2015 International Residential Code (IRC), 2015 International Mechanical Code (IMC), 2015 International Plumbing Code (IPC), 2020 National Electrical Code (NEC), 2015 International Energy Code, and the 2015 International Fuel Gas. Code books can be purchased through the International Code Council at their Online Store.

The Municipal Code does not cover all building codes and please refer to the above International Codes for complete information, however please note that the Town of Eagle has adopted amendments to these codes that are part of Title 13, Eagle Municipal Code - Building and Construction.
