Camping and Oversized Parking

No camping is allowed in the Town of Eagle. For oversized vehicle questions please call and speak with an on-duty officer 970-479-2200 or request a parking variance below.

1. General Parking Rules

• “No parking” signs apply to the entire right-of-way—this includes the street, sidewalks, and esplanade (grass, gravel, or dirt areas between the sidewalk and road).

• For trailhead, park, or oversized vehicles, specific rules apply—details are below.

• No camping in the Town of Eagle is allowed. No Camping ordinance 9.12.100 can be found HERE. 

2. Parking Variances

• A parking variance temporarily lifts restrictions for activities like construction, maintenance, yard work, events, or dealing with a broken-down vehicle.

• How to apply: Submit online via the “Parking Variance” form HERE. Approval is required via email or phone before parking.

3. Neighborhood & Street Parking Zones

• Broadway (100–500 blocks): (Map HERE)

     -2-hour parking from 9 am–6 pm

     -No overnight parking from 3 am–7 am

• Nogal Rd: (Map HERE)

     -No parking Tuesdays and Thursdays 8am-4pm (except holidays) on the north side of the road.

     -The south side, dead-end, and plow turnaround are always no parking

4. “No-Street Parking” Zones

These areas prohibit parking on streets, sidewalks, and esplanade at all times:

• Bluffs (Map HERE)

• Bull Run (Map HERE)

• Brush Creek Terrace (and connecting roads) (Map HERE)

• Orchards(Map HERE)

• Highlands (E. Haystacker Rd & Fourth of July Rd and side roads) (Map HERE)

• Eagle Ranch: significant restrictions; some roads only permit parking on one side. Signage and maps provide specifics. (Map HERE)

5. Snow-Event Rules

In residential Village Homes: Within 72 hours of accumulating ≥ 3″ of snow, alternate-side rules apply:

• Odd-date: no parking on odd sides

• Even-date: no parking on even sides

6. Parks & Trailheads

• Eagle Town Park, Brush Creek, Brush Creek Terrace Park, and the Info Center:

     -No overnight parking (11 pm–6 am)

     -No camping No Camping ordinance 9.12.100 can be found HERE

• Trailheads (e.g., Boneyard, Arroyo/Second Gulch, Abrams Creek, Herniage Creek Gulch):

     -Limited parking only

     -No on-street parking—right-of-way applies

• For oversized vehicles, contact an on-duty officer at 970 479 2200 or apply for a variance


8. Abandoned & Junked Vehicles

• Abandoned: A vehicle left on public property for ≥ 24 hours or private property ≥ 72 hours without permission

• Junked: A ≥ 3-year-old vehicle with significant damage or missing parts
