Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Finance Director and using independent judgement, this position is responsible for preforming a wide variety of clerical, advanced, specialized, and technical bookkeeping and accounting functions to maintain the fiscal records and systems of the Town. This position will obtain and analyze financial information to prepare reports, statements and recommendations and will provide work leadership and direction to other financial recording positions. This position will perform duties in a manner consistent with the stated values of the organization.
• Bachelor’s Degree with a major in accounting or equivalent is required • CPA or CPA candidate preferred or other governmental certification desirable • 3-5 years of experience in accounting required. Previous experience in the public sector or in a municipality is preferred. • Valid Colorado Driver's License and satisfactory motor vehicle record Hiring range: $58,780.80 – $70,553.60, Depending on experience* *The maximum of the pay range is $82,305.60. A hire rate over the hiring range may be considered based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
