Invitation to Bid - Waterline

TOWN OF EAGLE

EAGLE, COLORADO 81631

Sealed BIDS for construction for the Violet Lane Waterline will be received by the Public Works Department at 1050 Chambers Avenue, Eagle, Colorado until 10:00 am Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The project primarily consists of approximately 1,550 linear feet of 24” ductile iron pipe (DIP), valves, and appurtenances connecting the new Lower Basin Water Treatment Plant to the Town’s existing distribution system. Installation of the waterline will require crossing below Brush Creek and the Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR). Crossing below the UPRR will require approximately 93 linear feet of welded steel carrier pipe installed using the dry bore and jack method.

A Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the Total Base Bid is required. Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the Total Contract Price will be required.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at the Eagle Town Hall, 200 Broadway Street, Eagle, Colorado.

A set of electronic (PDF) Bid Documents will be made available via download from a password-protected FTP site starting on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 until the time that Bids are opened. Bidders shall send an email to nataliaa@sgm-inc.com. The email subject line shall read: Request for Electronic Bid Documents – Violet Lane Waterline. The email shall contain the following information: Name, Company & phone number. FTP site login information will be sent via email to the requester once adequate information has been provided. The Bid Documents will also be available on the Town of Eagle’s bid site: https://www.bidnetdirect.com/colorado/townofeagle. For all technical questions, bidders shall send an email to scottf@sgm-inc.com.

This solicitation for bids may be canceled by the Town, and any bid or proposal may be rejected in whole or in part for good cause when in the best interests of the Town. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or accept what is, in its judgment, the best bid.

The Proposal and Proposal Guarantees must be placed in one envelope, securely sealed therein, and labeled “Bid Proposal for the Violet Lane Waterline” and be delivered to the Town of Eagle at the address stated above on or before the bid opening date and time stated above.
