Letter from the Mayor (August 1, 2024)
In May 2024, the town of Eagle invited residents and business owners to participate in an online survey focusing on Quality of Life initiatives central to its vision and commitment to enriching the lives of community members.
The survey asked participants to prioritize four key Quality of Life initiatives: Grand Avenue Multimodal Corridor Project, Housing Affordability, Sustainability and Net Zero Goals and Open Space and Recreation. These projects were all outlined in the town's Strategic Funding Roadmap and Strategic Plan.
Additionally, the town asked participants for guidance on allocation of its 0.5 percent Sales Tax Capital Improvement fund (STCIF). Approved by voters in 2016, STCIF funds were designated for the creation of Eagle River Park, improvements to the river park, recreational paved path improvements and enhancements to town parks or multi-use recreational facilities.
The survey had 533 responses and responses were spread out across key demographics measures and were closely matched in gender, age range and neighborhood dispersion. More than 170 respondents provided Substantive comments as part of answering the survey.
