The town of Eagle invites residents and business owners to participate in an online survey focusing on Quality of Life initiatives central to its vision and commitment to enriching the lives of every member of the community.
Survey information will be included in the town’s utility bills, which will be mailed on April 30. For residents in Eagle that are not part of the town’s utility system, the survey can be accessed by visiting tinyrul.com/eaglequality.
The survey will ask participants to prioritize four key Quality of Life initiatives:
- Grand Avenue Corridor Project
- Housing
- Sustainability and Net Zero Goals
- Open Space and Recreation
Additionally, the town will also ask participants for guidance on the allocation of its Sales Tax Improvement fund, which is a 0.5 percent sales tax approved by voters in 2016. The funds were designated for the creation of Eagle River Park, improvements to the river park, recreational paved path improvements, enhancements to town parks or for multi-use recreational facilities. Following the reconstruction of Eagle’s outdoor pool with Mountain Recreation, the town will have approximately $350,000 remaining annually to fund other projects.
Over the past few years, the town has engaged in various community outreach efforts to identify these priorities, Eagle Town Mayor Scott Turnipseed says. Following the collaborative work, the Town Council and staff are actively working to advance these initiatives and seek feedback to gauge community priorities and potential funding opportunities.
“We encourage participation in the survey to help shape Eagle’s future,” Turnipseed said. “Your input will guide both the Town Council and staff in making informed decisions about funding opportunities. Strengthening our community, stimulating our economy and enhancing the quality of life in Eagle are significant goals of the town.”
The survey is available in both English and Spanish until May 15. Survey results will be presented to the Town Council and posted online. The town is working with WR Communications to facilitate this process.
