The Eagle Downtown Development Authority (EDDA) announced the recipients of the 2024 Downtown Eagle Project Investment Program, awarding $50,000 in grants to help enhance Eagle’s downtown, stimulate economic growth and foster community vibrancy. Selected from 19 applicants, this year’s recipients impressed the EDDA Board of Directors with their innovative projects aimed at revitalizing Eagle’s downtown core.

"We are incredibly proud of the strong and growing business community in downtown Eagle," said Greg Schroeder, Chair of the Eagle Downtown Development Authority. "The quality of applications we received for the Downtown Eagle Project Investment Program was truly impressive, and it’s clear that our local businesses are committed to enhancing our downtown. While we couldn't fund every deserving project this time, we remain dedicated to finding additional resources to support even more of our business owners and their innovative ideas in the future."

The following is a list of projects funded.

About the Downtown Eagle Project Investment Program
The EDDA considers investments in development projects within its boundary to fulfill its Plan of Development. Project investment opportunities are supported by the EDDA’s Tax Increment Finance (TIF) dollars. In 2024, the EDDA, in partnership with the Town of Eagle, applied for and was awarded grant funds from the Rural Economic Development Initiative (REDI) Program, a state program established by the Colorado Department of Local Affairs (DOLA), Division of Local Government (DLG). In total, the EDDA stands to allocate a combined $100,000 in grants between 2024 - 2025.

The program will award funding to support business and property owners, facilitate tangible improvements, foster industry clusters and knowledge sharing, provide business attraction and awareness activities and build business demand. Funds received from the program must be used on aspects of a project that have a direct community benefit and meet the goals/strategies of the EDDA Plan of Development. Participation is limited to owners of real property within the territorial limits of the EDDA, their lessees with the consent of the owners, or their authorized representatives.
